AT&T sold 7.6 million iPhones and less than 1.8 million Android smartphones in Q4 2011

AT&T announced that Q4 2011 was its best quarter ever when it comes to smartphone activations, as the carrier has sold no less than 9.4 million smartphones - nearly double the number of units sold in the previous quarter. 7.4 million of those smartphones were iPhones. This leaves 1.8 million units for Android, BlackBerry and Windows Phone to share - and it's probably safe to assume that Android's got a big chunk of that.
